Amber Rose,
ridden by Sharon Ballowe-Jolley, won the 2007 Amateur World Grand Champion
this fall in Ava. Horse and rider were totally in sync this year and both
performed flawlessly. Owned by Stephen’s
Foxtrotters, Amber is one of the finest Foxtrotters in the world, and
drilled hard to get ready for the Celebration.
Sharon along
with Karen Jolley, fine-tuned Amber all year to prepare both herself and
the horse for the Show. At her beautiful ranch in Rogersville, Missouri,
Sharon perfected Amber’s magnificent show canter. By the time the
Celebration arrived, they were synchronized and ready to win.
Amber and
Sharon won the qualifying “World Champion Amateur Five years and Older”
mares class and then went on to win the World Grand Championship on
Saturday evening. The exciting dimension to the win was receiving a first
place vote from all five judges. Horse and rider were exquisite and very
striking in all three gaits. Congratulations to Amber, Sharon & Karen
Jolley, and Stephen’s Fox Trotters for a great year. Well done.
Touch’s
Booten Scooten Lady – 5 Time World Champion
Dallin
Story, an 18-year old prodigy from
Utah,
won all four of his World Championships this
year at the Celebration. Born
with cerebral palsy, Dallin drilled himself tirelessly this summer in
preparation for the Show. Together with his horse, Touch’s Booten Scooten
Lady, he performed brilliantly in Ava. Much credit goes to some very
dedicated trainers (Lisa, Kamille, and Lacey) and to a very gracious Joyce
Graening for selling Dallin the horse. An exciting addition to the show
was the radio, TV, and media coverage Dallin received during the events.
Lisa Hahn
also rode Touch’s Booten Scooten Lady to the winner’s circle after
competing in the English Pleasure Hunt Seat class.
Sunrise’s
Gold Patriot – Reserve World Champion

Lacey Crosby
rode Sunrise’s Gold Patriot in the English Pleasure Hunt Seat class and
took reserve. Both Lacey and Lisa were ecstatic to take first and second
place in a large class at the world show.
